License for Exelon, NRG merger under federal consideration

 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) is considering the issuance 

of an order under Title 10 of the CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS (10 CFR), Section 50.80 

approving the indirect transfer of the Facility Operating License DPR-12 for Peach Bottom 

Atomic Power Station (PBAPS), Unit 1, and Renewed Facility Operating Licenses, which are 

numbered, DPR-44 and DPR-56, for PBAPS Units 2 and 3, including its associated independent 

spent fuel storage installation, currently held by Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC), as 

owner and licensed operator of PBAPS. EGC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Exelon 

Corporation (Exelon). PBAPS Unit 1 is permanently shut down.
